Gbenga Oyebode is the co-founder of Aluko & Oyebode (Barristers & Solicitors). Gbenga was educated at the University of Ife (LL.B Honors), and the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia (LL.M) graduating in 1979 and 1982, respectively. He is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (admitted June 1980) and an attorney-at-law of the Supreme Court of New York State (admitted November 1983). He was conferred Doctor of Laws (Honoris Causa), by the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti (2016) and Elizade University, Ilara Mokin, Ondo State (2017), and was conferred Doctor of Management Science (Honoris Causa) by Wellspring University, Benin City, Edo State (2021), Nigeria. Gbenga was conferred with national honors of Nigeria (Member of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria “MFR” in 2001 and received INSEAD's inaugural International Directors Network (IDN) Recognition Award in 2020. He was Chairman, Access Bank Plc (2005-2015) and Director MTN Nigeria Plc (2001-2019). He is the Chairman of Okomu Oil Palm Company Plc, Nestle Nigeria Plc and Lafarge Africa Plc (all listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange), Chairman of Access ARM Pension and serves on the Board of Socfinaf SA (listed on the Luxemburg Stock Exchange). He is also the Chairman of CFAO Nigeria. Gbenga is the Chairman Teach for All, New York, and Chairman of the African Philanthropy Forum. He is a Director at Jazz at the Lincoln Center, New York, and Member, Board of Trustees Ford Foundation, New York. He is also a Member of the Global Board of Advisors for the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), New York. He is the Chairman of Africa Legal Network, a leading alliance for top law firms in Africa. He is a Member of the International Council of Collectors - The Cleveland Museum of Art, Ohio; Member, Board of Trustees - The African Center, New York; Member, Advisory Board - Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art, Washington DC.

He was appointed to the Board of Lafarge Africa Plc on the 8th ^April 2020 and became the Chairman, Board of Directors on the 27th April 2024.

GMD/CEO

Mr. Lolu Alade-Akinyemi, who was elevated to the Board on 8th of April 2020, was appointed as GMD/CEO of Lafarge Africa Plc on 1st July 2023. Prior to this appointment, Mr.Alade-Akinyemi was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the Supply Chain Director of the Company. With over 25 years of cross-functional experience in finance, supply chain, business development, and sales, Lolu is a seasoned business executive with multifaceted international experience and accomplishments in turnaround situations, transforming processes to improve business performance, fostering growth in challenging business environments, and Profit & Loss oversight.

Prior to joining Lafarge in 2014, he served as Finance Director, PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc for 4 years and he was at the Coca-Cola Company for 16 years where he worked in the UK, Belgium, Ghana, and Nigeria taking increased responsibilities in finance, business development, supply chain and sales. Mr. Lolu Alade-Akinyemi who started his career as a trainee at ExxonMobil, is a certified accountant with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Essex, and an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School, UK. He has further honed his leadership expertise through prestigious programs at INSEAD, IMD, and IVEY Business Schools.

Lolu also serves as Chairman of Ashakacem Limited Board, Vice Chairman of the Board of Pistis Foundation, and an Advisory Board Member for the Climate Governance Initiative Nigeria.

Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Wang Xuanqian is an Executive Director and the Chief Operating Officer of HBM Nigeria PLC. He is also the CEO of Natal Portland Cement in South Africa and the Technical Director of Huaxin Overseas operation. He is a national registered senior engineer in China.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Materials Science from Wuhan University of Technology and is a PhD candidate in Materials Science. Mr. Wang joined Huaxin in 2007 upon graduating from university, starting his career as a junior process engineer at Wuxue Plant. He subsequently worked at Huaxin Technical Center, Huaxin PME, Huaxin CIP, Huaxin Overseas, and Natal Portland Cement in South Africa, serving as Senior Process Engineer, Project Manager, and Head of Process and Production at the Huaxin Group.
He was appointed to the Board of HBM Nigeria PLC on the 30th August 2025.

Non-Exercise Member

Mrs. Oyinkansade Adewale, FCA, a qualified chartered accountant since 1984, is a highly experienced finance expert with over 30 years' track record as Executive Director/Chief Financial Officer in various companies and over 25 years' experience serving on various boards in executive and non-executive capacities.

Mrs. Adewale started her professional career in 1981 at Coopers & Lybrand as a trainee accountant and left the firm in 1989 as an Audit Manager. She started her banking sector career at Citibank Nigeria in 1989 as Deputy Financial Controller and by 2002 when she left, had risen to the role of Executive Director/CFO, Citibank Nigeria, with responsibility for Finance across seven West African countries, including Nigeria.

In 2005, she co-founded SIAO, a leading indigenous accounting firm that played a key role in the banking sector consolidation under then CBN Governor, Charles Soludo; she led SIAO to win several due diligence and financial advisory mandates that subsequently led to M&A transactions.

Mrs. Adewale was the pioneer MD/COO at Renaissance Capital Africa from 2006 to 2009. From 2009 to 2011, she was the CBN-appointed Executive Director/ CFO at Oceanic Bank, where she supervised all the bank's subsidiaries and also served as a director of some of the subsidiaries. Following the acquisition of Oceanic Bank by ETI and its merger with Ecobank Nigeria in 2012, she managed the integration and was also the ETI Group Head of MIS. 

From 2012 to 2018, she was the Executive Director/Chief Financial Officer of Union Bank Nigeria Plc, where, along with her role as CFO, she oversaw the divestment of all the bank's non-bank subsidiaries.

She has successfully led bank turnarounds and transformations, establishing world-class finance functions. She is a recipient of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor's commendation for meritorious service to the banking sector.

Mrs Adewale was a member and treasurer of the board of management of St. Saviour's School, Ikoyi, Nigeria's prominent British curriculum school. 

She holds a B. A French Honors degree from the University of Ibadan, and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). She is an alumnus of INSEAD, Harvard Business School, Fontainebleau, IMD, Lausanne and Oxford Said Business School. 

Mrs Adewale teaches financial literacy and has been a guest lecturer in Ethics and Corporate Governance at the Lagos Business School.

Mrs Adewale has been a trustee of Junior Achievement Nigeria for over 25 years.

Mrs Adewale currently sits on the boards of Lafarge Africa Plc, Beta Glass Plc, FBN Quest Merchant Bank Ltd and MidWestern Oil & Gas Company Ltd as an Independent Non-Executive Director and is an Independent Investment Committee Member of Uhuru Investment Partners, a West Africa-focused Private Equity firm.

She was appointed to the Board of Lafarge Africa Plc on the 4th ^of   June 2020.

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Mrs. Olusola Oworu is a seasoned visionary and strategic leader with over three decades of cross-sector experience spanning consulting, banking and finance, commerce, energy, and the public sector. She brings an unwavering commitment to excellence and a proven ability to deliver measurable value at board and executive levels. Mrs. Oworu is an alumna of the prestigious Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA.

Renowned for her capacity to balance strategic insight with operational depth, Mrs. Oworu possesses a rare ability to navigate complex business trade-offs—delving into the details of initiatives while maintaining a clear, big-picture perspective. She has a strong track record of building, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams, and is widely respected for her ability to unite diverse stakeholders around a shared vision.

She began her leadership journey in 1992 and has since held a wide range of senior roles across both the private and public sectors in Nigeria. From 2007 to 2015, she served as Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Lagos State, where she provided strategic leadership and advisory support on public–private partnerships, significantly strengthening collaboration between government and the private sector.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Oworu has consistently demonstrated the ability to translate business objectives into actionable strategies, delivering exceptional value through a distinctive blend of strategic foresight, governance expertise, and operational acumen. Mrs. Oworu has served on several boards in various capacities. She currently sits as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of Guinness Nigeria PLC and Industrial and Medical Gases PLC. She also serves on the Board of Sterling Bank PLC as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Board Credit Committee.

Mrs. Oworu was appointed to the Board of Lafarge Africa Plc on the 25^th of July 2024.

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Mr. Jiajun Wang is a Senior Engineer and Recipient of the State Council Special Allowance. Mr. Wang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Inorganic Non-metal Materials Engineering and a master’s degree in Materials Engineering from Wuhan University of Technology.   With over 23 years of professional experience, Mr. Wang began his career as a Process Design Engineer at Wuhan Building Materials Industry Design and Research Institute before joining Huaxin Cement Co. Ltd, where he held progressive leadership roles including: Manager of the Process Department, Manager of the Engineering Department, Head of the Environmental Protection Technology Department, Director of Operations and Research & Development and General Manager of the Environmental Protection Department.   

In February 2021, he was appointed General Manager of the Environmental Engineering Business Unit & New Materials Business Unit. Previously, he served as Assistant Vice President (AVP) (2019–2021) and has been the current Vice President of Huaxin Cement since April 2021. 

He was appointed to the Board of Lafarge Africa Plc on the 30^th August 2025.

Mr. Lin Zhang holds a bachelor's degree in accounting, a master's degree in business administration, and is a Chinese Certified Public Accountant. His career with Huaxin spans over 30 years.
Prior to his appointment as Internal Audit and Internal Control Director, he served in different roles as Head of Financial Department for Xiantao Company, Head of Financial Department for Yichang Company, Chief Financial Officer for Zhaotong Company, Deputy Head of ERP Department, Head of Internal Control Department, Financial Director of Overseas Business Unit, and Head of Internal Audit and Internal Control Department.
He was appointed to the Board of HBM Nigeria PLC on the 30th August 2025.

Non-Executive Director
Mr. Chen Qian holds a master's degree in business administration from the Anderson School of Business in the United States. He is a Chinese Certified Public Accountant, a Fellow Member of the Chartered Global Management Accountant, and holds a bachelor's degree in World Economics from Fudan University (2001).
With 22 years of experience, he currently serves as Vice President and Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of Huaxin. Prior to this, he served as Huaxin Deputy CFO, Senior Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Senior Consultant at Monitor Consulting Group, CFO at Sika Group China, CFO at IMI Critical Engineering Greater China, Korea CFO at CIF Bureau Veritas China, and CFO at Terminix China.
He was appointed to the Board of HBM Nigeria PLC on the 30th August 2025.

Non-Executive Director
Mr. Xu Gang holds a master's degree in business administration from Tsinghua University, a Bachelor of Engineering in Safety Engineering from China University of Geosciences, and a Bachelor's degree in Financial Management from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
He specializes in project investment, business strategy and development, organizational structure, cement industry processing and safety management, and sales and marketing. With 24 years of experience, he currently serves as Vice President and General Manager of the Overseas Business Unit of Huaxin Cement.
Previously, he served as Head of Growth & Innovation and Strategy and Marketing Director for Huaxin's Yunnan BU, Commercial Director for the Guizhou, Chongqing, and Yunnan BUs, and Integration Manager, Strategy Manager, and Process Manager for Beijing Shunfa Cement Plant. He was appointed to the Board of HBM Nigeria PLC on the 30th August 2025.

NON-EXECUTIVE MEMBER

Dr. fatima Akilu is a seasoned psychologist, peace-building expert, and strategic communications leader with over 30 years of experience across public policy, security, academia, and clinical practice. She is the founder and Executive Director of the Neem Foundation, a leading organization focused on preventing violent extremism, promoting mental health, and strengthening community resilience.

She previously served as Director of Behavioral Analysis and Strategic Communication at the Office of the National Security Adviser, where she led the development of Nigeria's countering violent extremism program, and has also held leadership roles at the office of Senior Special Assistant to the President on MDG's and the Leadership Newspapers.

Dr. Akilu holds a PhD and MSc in Psychology from the University of reading, UK. And currently serves as Vice-Chair of the United Nations-mandated University for Peace (UPEACE), Honorary Professor at King's College London, and Board Member of Overseas Development Institute.

Mrs Nella is the principal of Lexglobal Partners, LP, a renowned legal practice and consultancy service firm based in Calabar and Abuja and has been at the very top of the legal profession in a variet of capacities, with over 30 years experience.

Mrs Nella was the attorney-General of Cross River State from 1999-2003 and during her tenure, she became the first African female to address the International Court of Justice as Counsel. She was elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2009.

Legal Director & Company Secretary
Mrs. Adewunmi Alode is HBM Nigeria PLC's Legal Director and Company Secretary, with over 13 years of hands-on experience in Company Secretariat, core legal, project management in onshore and offshore contracts, legal advisory, claims and litigation management.
She is a trained lawyer, was called to the bar at the Nigeria Law School, Abuja, and is a Chartered Secretary. She is currently pursuing her MBA at the Business School Netherlands.
Adewunmi started her career at an indigenous law firm in Lagos, with a brief stint as Company Secretary at Unicorn Holdings. She joined HBM Nigeria PLC in 2008 as a Legal Officer and over the following decade held roles including Legal Manager, Legal Business Partner, Compliance Business Partner, Senior Legal Counsel – Contracts, and Company Secretary/Senior Legal Counsel. She was appointed General Counsel/Company Secretary in 2019.

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Zhigang Ke serves as the Chief Financial Officer of HBM Nigeria PLC, overseeing the Company's financial strategy, reporting, and controls. He brings extensive expertise in financial management from his experience within the Huaxin Cement Group.

Organization & Human Resources Director
Gbemiga Owolabi is the Organisation & Human Resources Director for HBM Nigeria PLC. With over 28 years' experience spanning HR strategy formulation, international HR, talent management, employee engagement, capability development, HR business partnering, and enterprise business transformation in FMCG, Oil & Gas, and Telecommunications.
He previously served as HR Manager at Lennards Nigeria Plc, Capability Development Manager at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (Nigeria), HR Manager at BG Exploration & Production Nigeria Ltd, HR Manager for Dragon LNG Wales UK (a joint venture of BG Group and Petronas of Malaysia), Head of HR & Admin for BG East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar), and Human Resources Director of Airtel Networks Nigeria.
Gbemiga holds BSc and MSc degrees in Industrial Relations & Personnel Management (University of Lagos) and an MBA Marketing (University of Ife). He is an alumnus of the Advance Management Programme (AMP 19) at Lagos Business School, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management in Nigeria.

Commercial Director
Gbenga Onimowo is the Commercial Director for HBM Nigeria PLC. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and an MBA from the University of Benin, Nigeria.
He has functioned within the capacities of overseeing Marketing operations, strategic business management, driving sales volume across trade channels, Trade marketing and distribution management, Brand building and portfolio management, and new product development/innovation. As a certified Prince 2 expert, he has successfully managed several cross-functional business projects contributing significant commercial value, growth, and business sustainability — including Route to Market model change, New Market entries, and Regulatory change management.
Prior to joining HBM Nigeria PLC in 2019, he worked at British American Tobacco for 14 years in different capacities and at Nigerian German Chemicals Plc (Pharma) for 7 years.

Hu Feng is the Marketing Intelligence & Pricing Director.

Hu joins HBM Nigeria from Portland Cement Malawi Limited, where he served as Deputy General Manager and led sales and marketing operations. Prior to that, he worked as the Deputy General Manager of Sales at Huaxin Cement Yunnan BU, and as a Marketing Strategist at Huaxin Cement Headquarters and Eastern BU.

Procurement Director
Mr. Gabriel Ibiyemi serves as Procurement Director for HBM Nigeria PLC, responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement operations across the Company's manufacturing plants and business units. He brings extensive expertise in supply chain management and procurement best practices within the building materials industry.

Logistics Director
Osazemen Aghatise has over 12 years of combined hands-on and leadership experience in Logistics management, procurement, health and safety, auditing, and project management across oil and gas, services, and manufacturing industries in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.
He is a concept-to-implementation strategist with demonstrated success in controlling multiple projects that elevate organizational efficiency while optimizing resources to achieve corporate goals. A thought leader working with key stakeholders focused on resource utilization, business development, and compliance, Osaze holds a master's degree from the University of Cardiff, UK, and is an award recipient from IOSH for his contribution to health and safety.

Director, Communications, Public Affairs & Sustainable Development
Mrs. Viola Graham-Douglas serves as the Director of Communications, Public Affairs, and Sustainable Development at HBM Nigeria PLC. She leads the Company's stakeholder engagement, corporate communications strategy, and sustainability reporting initiatives.
She brings extensive experience in corporate communications, public affairs management, and sustainable business development, playing a key role in HBM Nigeria PLC's ESG strategy and its commitment to building a greener future.

Head of Geocycle
Temitope Dosumu is the Head of Geocycle for HBM Nigeria PLC, where she is pioneering the innovation and technology of waste pre-processing and co-processing projects in the Nigerian cement industry. She is an experienced professional with core skills and competencies in Renewable Energy from waste, Quality Systems Management, Cement processes, Process Engineering, Pre and Co-processing of Operations, and Operations Management. Temitope has over 27 years of extensive experience in cement manufacturing as Process & Quality Manager, Operations Manager, and Optimization Manager within and outside Nigeria for Holcim, the global leader in sustainable building materials. Under her leadership, industry capacity is being strengthened on Zero Waste projects with quality results delivered for HBM Nigeria PLC and other industrial groups. Temitope holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos and an MBA from the Business School of Netherlands. She is a Leadership Development program alumnus of the Wharton Business School and has studied Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.

Managing Director, Ashaka Cement
Ibrahim Aminu was born in 1968 in Malumfashi, Nigeria. He attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he graduated with a B.Sc. Accounting in 1990, and obtained his MBA from Usmanu Danfodiyo University in 2015.
Ibrahim worked in various sectors of the economy within Nigeria, including the Federal Civil Service Commission, the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company Limited, and the then Nigerian Telecommunications Limited. He also worked at the Cement Company of Northern Nigeria Plc (BUA Group), where he served as Executive Director Finance and later became Managing Director/CEO in 2016 — a tenure that saw unprecedented growth in revenues and profits.
He joined the Holcim Group on 1st July 2019 as Managing Director, Ashaka Cement Limited – a subsidiary of HBM Nigeria PLC. Ashaka recorded a five-year high production and sales in 2020. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Member of ICAN, and Member of CITN. He attended courses at Harvard Business School and IMD Switzerland.

Legal Director & Company Secretary

Mr. Segun Shoyoye serves as Power and Gas Director for HBM Nigeria PLC, overseeing the Company's energy strategy, power generation, and gas procurement initiatives. He leads efforts to optimize energy costs and transition to more sustainable energy sources across HBM Nigeria PLC's manufacturing operations.

Health, Safety, Environment Director
Mrs. Rachael Ezembakwe serves as the Head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) at HBM Nigeria PLC. She is responsible for developing and implementing HSE policies and systems that protect employees, contractors, communities, and the environment across all of HBM Nigeria PLC's operations.
Her role is central to HBM Nigeria PLC's commitment to zero harm and its broader sustainability agenda, ensuring compliance with national and international safety standards at all plant locations.

Head of Aggregates & ReadyMix
Mr. Emmanuel Ilaboya serves as the Head of Aggregates and ReadyMix for HBM Nigeria PLC, leading the Company's ReadyMix and Aggregates business division. Under his leadership, HBM Nigeria PLC's ReadyMix operations have expanded significantly, delivering high-performance concrete solutions to major infrastructure, commercial, and residential construction projects across Nigeria.
